The principle of the CO2 in cryospray is used in initial freezing of tissue before sectioning. The rate of freezing is comparable with CO2 which is non flammable and used in both temperature and tropical climates. For use in Histology immunofluorescent sections. Paraffin blocks have also successfully been used in the field of Dermatology.

Based on principle of freezing with the help of evaporation of carbon dioxide gas around the specimen.
